I can understand your concern as I want the system reqs as well and the fact they have not updated the steam page is worrying but it should be out on the 27th... I hope.
So rumors are not true ?

This is pretty much what happens when you stay silent the entire time, people start to panic can't blame them.
People are freaking out and it really don't help that the answer from support contains "...at this time." as if a new date will be set.

This is the exact kind of thing they said about heists coming in the Spring of 2014. They promised them right up until they announced the delay. I wouldn't hold my breath, kids.
Begging u Rockstar please don't delay the game anymore. I cant wait any more, i even painted the wall in my room with a picture of Chop and Franklin to welcome GTA V for Pc. Also my steam wallet is ready. And also my friend has Cancer he wont last much , we are big fans of GTA please let us have a good time together. With love Jaiz and my friend Rahul

When Gta 5 comes out on PC Rockstar team will be like " Holy C*** , we're done with you fan boys.. Here take it and get lost. Stop contacting us here and on twitter until we announce GTA 6 for consoles "

20 days before the supposed lunch date and we still don't have official system requirements from 
. Then we have this "We have not announced any changes to this date AT THIS TIME.". At least they responded, this is very rare for to talk to PC gamers. I don't mind how long it take them to make the PC version; the game has released over a year and 1/4. What diff will it make if we wait 2 years. The lack of communication has toward PC gamers makes us believe that they don't care that much about us. Starting to wonder id it's true.

One could think that Rockstar would have released a update about the PC/Mac version given the fact that it's 17 days left. If no newswire on the 13th containing systems specs two weeks before release, well then we just have to wait and see.

I thought Rock Star re-confirmed the re-confirmation message about the date. From their message it seem very likely it's the 27th but i don't like their last sentence. Leave a lot to interpretation given their history. Well at least they confirmed 100% the PC version so it will eventually come.
As for the Mac/Linux version i hope you guys will not have to wait too long. i'm dual booting Ubuntu and Win7. At worst I'm sure you can do the same; dual boot Mac OS and Win7.
That way you can have the best of both world ; ) I almost only use Win7 for games. For almost anything else Ubuntu / Mac OS does it much more effectively ; )
