Failed to sync files.
A new error has occurred. The Rockstar game services had failed to sync files to play GTA Online. Few details:
- No error before latest patch
- Account stats are still there when I check Social Club
- Restarting modem does not work
- Reinstalling patch does not work
- Reinstalling the entire game does not work
I doubt this has anything to do with my connection. All ports are open, NAT type is open, haven't had any problems the last few weeks. I guess I'm not the only one..

From what I've gathered, it's indeed something that came with the recent patch. Rockstar's looking into it.
@Raysky101 my character got deleted but it says the same level that I had before but the stats are low again and if I click on my character it takes me to character create what do I do?
Are your stats still visible on Social Club? If not, your character was deleted. If you can still see the correct stats on Social Club, I'd advice to delete the latest patch and the Beach Bum patch, clean your Cache and reinstall.
i have been having the problem as well. Everytime since the patch 1.0.6 i get the error for sync files failed. it has been over 3 weeks and my friend has been having the same problem. Rockstar, please fix it i want to play GTAO with my friends and you should let me do that. i payed 60 euro for this game and im not only playing for the story.
Every time i sign out of Xbox (not turning off my Xbox) it loads the prologue and then i load my game, after i load my game and i try to go online and it says "Rockstar Game Services are unable to sync your files please try again later". I've tried all the methods on youtube and nothing seems to help........deleting the title update.......nope.......please help me because i want to play online with my friends.

I have tried everything, Deleted Every GTA V Online thing off my Xbox 360 then reinstalled it...I am still having this problem
Any idea what I can try next?
