How to get money to use for Poker and Liar's Dice in Red Dead Redemption

Question: I ran out of money gambling and want to keep playing Poker and Liar's Dice online -- how can I get more money? How do I get my allowance?

Answer: Wait until the next day (in real time, not in-game time) and then enter a game table that you cannot afford to receive the daily allowance.

Any player with a balance under $200 is eligible for a daily allowance of up to an additional $200 when entering a game that he or she cannot afford.  This allowance is collected when the player attempts to enter the gambling table, provided that at least 24 hours have passed since the last collection of the allowance; allowances do not accumulate over time.

Players who have more than $200 are not affected by the allowance, and players who are under $200 but do not attempt to play a table they cannot afford will not receive the allowance.  The amount of money currently owned can be checked without entering a game by highlighting a Poker or Liar's Dice game on the Multiplayer Playlist or by pressing the Start button, where money is shown in the upper-right of the screen.

Also note that there is no economy for Private Multiplayer or System Link games; however, you will still receive XP from non-public gambling games.
