Petition to allow for continued use of the Firework Launcher, purchase ammo etc. post deadline of Independence Update

According to Rockstar, everything we purchase, with the exception of fireworks and the firework launcher, may be kept after the independence update has ended. Why can't we at least keep on purchasing ammunition for the Firework Launcher if we bought it in time like the Gusenburg Sweeper? This should not be taken away especially since it cost us in-game money. I mean it costs more than the minigun. I believe the ability to purchase and set off fireworks should be kept as well as long as you purchased some when the update was active you will be able to keep on purchasing after it has ended. It is fine to no longer allow them for purchase if you did not purchase them during the event as they are limited time only. But DO NOT relinquish them from our possession after the event is over. Do not tell me that I can use them as long as I have fireworks left. No, I should be able to buy more fireworks. This is absolutely ridiculous Rockstar and there is no reason for taking away cool things like this especially since we purchased them and some with cash cards. Real money.

The Fireworks Launcher is a special holiday item and does not function like a traditional weapon. Once purchased, the launcher will be owned permanently and will remain in your inventory during non-holiday periods as long as you have special fireworks ammo in possession. Outside of designated holiday periods, the weapon will be hidden in your inventory once your fireworks ammo has been depleted.

The Fireworks Launcher along with its ammo will be available again during holidays and other special events when fireworks are traditionally let off. At the beginning of any holiday or special event where fireworks are available, players who purchased the weapon previously will receive one free full refill of ammo per qualifying event in order to make sure players can celebrate.

Please let us keep it or reimburse us for them, I bought one for both characters, had I known it would be taken later I would not have bothered.

Agreed. This weapon isn't problematic, it isn't overpowered, and it isn't worth the hefty price it carries in manys eyes. I personally love this gun. It's funny going on a killing spree against cops with it. And shooting others and watching them ragdoll before doing the same to you has given me some of the best laughs this year. Removing it however is stupid and unnecessary. It's an actual fun weapon, it was NOT advertised as a "rent only" weapon in the OFFICAL patch notes, and many (not including me) spent money on cash cards to buy this DLC stuff, INCLUDING A 60 GRAND LAUNCHER. If your gonna remove it, expect a loss of customers, and if you don't care about them, atleast refund is what we spent on it, because this is false advertising.

I respect however, and I'm sure they will do the right thing.

This is really a weird and dumb move by Rockstar. First they put up that everything you buy can be kept, then they suddenly say that the gun will be removed. But then answer me this: if it was going to be removed, why charge for the gun if the ammo is already expensive? No one would be bothered by this if the gun was free and the ammo had to be purchased. Rockstar is just sucking us dry right now, especially the paying customers that bought the gun from their cash card money. I thought they were better than this, but I am sad to see their true form.

Complete and utter BS on for this. 60k for a weapon you can't even keep? It's ridiculous!

Furthermore, why get rid of it? Afraid people might enjoy themselves with an actual fun weapon?

It's not overpowered and it doesn't hurt the game in any way, so why remove it? I could see if it were free but it's not, it's 60k, costs more than some cars. How do you honestly justify that?

The price tag wouldn't be a big deal if we were assured we could keep it even after the update is gone.

tl;dr Signed. This is bull.

It's great to see all this support! I'm certainly surprised. Hopefully the forums will get more involved and Rockstar will take notice.
