Zombie DLC for GTA 5 Online, and Singleplayer.

I know for a fact, based on many youtube videos, news sites, and video game reviewers that i'm not the only one who thinks that the idea of a Zombie DLC for GTA 5 could be REALLY freakin' awesome if executed correctly. I suppose i'm creating this as a way for others to speculate, as well as to see if Rockstar has anything they want to say as to the likelihood of a Zombie DLC being made for GTA 5. Honestly, imagine the possibilities here for a second, Online in particular could be made even more awesome with a Zombie mode, much like RDR's option between different online modes. There could be your typical freeroam option, but then there could be the option of zombie freeroam, which would be freeroam but with.. Well, Zombies.

As a separate option, maybe cool, maybe not, zombies are way overdone nowadays, it could possibly be fun though... Depends on how the mode is executed...

Well, that's the thing, it really does depend on how it's executed, but I imagine it could prove to be pretty cool, I agree that Zombies are a bit overdone nowadays, but in this sense I think the idea could work. With Rockstar's open world, and if they don't go overboard in trying to make the city LOOK over-the-top apocalyptic.. Well, in a nutshell, it could work as long as they don't do what a lot of games try to do with DLC.. Make a game WITHIN a game instead of building ONTO the game.

You haven't gotten the hint from the game have you? Would you be happy with a Alien Apocolypse? It's aliens this time around, not zombies. Mark my words. I am the Oracle.

Well, I have picked up on that hint, yes.. But that doesn't mean Zombies are out of the realm of possibility. Plus I don't see how Aliens would be implemented in an Open-world sense, or if they go the route of RDR with a survival mode..

Actually an apocalyptic city would be awesome, not as awesome as the map R* already created though, maybe an option with the creator to make your own zombie related content, that would be hard though unless they made zombie spawns random rather than the creator setting them. It would be cool as a mini game option. I can't say it would be horrible for them to try the idea. Everybody does like zombies. Kinda seems like it wouldn't fit in GTA 5, but you never know.

Thanks for the consistent constructive criticism ('dat alliteration). You're right, it COULD be craptacular, hell, maybe they wouldn't have to really edit Los Santos, they very easily could cut down the online freeroam player count by half and set the DLC in North Yankton, so that the map would be smaller and could combat any framerate issues.

I haven't had one conversation where another online player has contested against a North Yankton DLC package, with a whole separate map that exceeds the one we played in story mode, totally different terrain, bring on North Yankton, I'm sure we would all be down to turn the snow from white to red.

that update would be the day i trade this game in. enough with the zombies. there is a lot better stuff to add like idk...pony that isn't in a bunch of other games. play a zombie game that already exists(there's plenty) and leave the updates to things like heists and more vehicles and clothing. zombies are getting old.

Why can't there be both? Most of the other "zombie" games kind of suck if you ask me. Resident evil has stunk for at least 3 installments, most others ate first person which I hate.

Have you ever thought that maybe those game suck because this genre already reached what it could and what you refer as "suck" is in fact burnout syndrome?

I really want zombies, because I think it would be fun in a GTA game. Besides, we've never had zombie modes in past GTA games. Officially, GTA games haven't had much to do with anything zombie related. The very first zombie the GTA series got was in GTA IV, if memory serves me correctly. Sadly, the zombie character was only for online play and was male only, Now in GTA V, there's the Vinewood zombie actor you can interact with. Unofficially, if you wanted zombies in GTA, you got the PC version of the game and used a mod someone made. I would really like to see some official Rockstar zombie DLC for GTA V, especially with how great the map is.

I would also like to see some alien modes and clown modes, too, though. You know, for added variety and the fact that they were used in the drug hallucinations in story mode.

Personally, I don't see why we can't have it all. GTA V is loaded with potential for a variety of things, especially in online play. To me, it would be a waste to leave out any possibilities for various forms of DLC.

Nuclear has a fair point.. First-person opinion aside, I agree with him in how most Zombie games do.. Pretty much suck. The past successes of Left 4 Dead and DayZ are one thing, but bear in mind DayZ is a PC game, and Left 4 Dead isn't open world or third person, and it doesn't nearly have the free-range capabilities that one is capable of in a GTA game. As i've said, i'm not suggesting something straying too far from the game's roots and base engine, i'm saying that if zombies were added (properly), that the amount of player-made scenarios could be doubled with the addition of Zombies, or even what Oracle mentioned, Aliens... Or if you want to go full-on weird, the Clowns from Trevor's hallucination.

Very valid point.

Not entirely.. Valid, but not very. I already mentioned some Zombie games which ARE good.. But think in terms of any Zombie game which has gone the route of freeroam with expansive customization, vehicles and soforth.. Yeah, Dead Rising, and in my personal opinion their latest installment does in fact suck, they pulled off Zombies but not the freeroam aspect that Rockstar has mastered. If you look at RDR, Undead Nightmare was a massive success, which even I find unexpected since it seemed completely foreign to anything you would imagine in a game based on a Western vibe, but it worked.. I think Rockstar could pull it off a second time, and with a canvas like GTA 5 to work with, it could come out even better.

for one alians would just be a ripoff of what saints row did and the alians in gta 5 looked like crap.... for two ZOMBIES HELL YES!!!!
in a game this size and magnitude imagine the whole map of GTA V crawling with flesh eating Zombies sewers, woods, desert and city with strongholds all over.
it would topple over any Zombie game ever made.
they did outstanding with RDR with Zombies just think how much better it would be in GTA V in fact ill be disappointed if they don't do a Zombie DLC for story and online...

Haven't you got the hint???? the Zombie in vinewood, Lester's Zombie outbreak files and amunation's commercial about a zombie apocalypse "or a zombie apocalypse" ... you cant ignore the rest just to have GTA copy cat on Saints Row. they did it with RDR and got DLC of the year for it so why not repeat history and make history!

No aliens and no zombies in gta damn it. I like zombies but not in gta. Aliens are boring. I admit i love zombies and would love rockstar to make a seperate open world zombie survival game which would be a cross between the walking dead game and state of decay and left 4dead

i think zombies would be good yeah. but what about a dlc to explore the world in gta 5 i mean literally explore globe in this game do whatever you want. also you could create anything you want transportation like (cars, bikes, trucks,SUV,boats, helicopters, planes, and ships, etc) weapons like (smgs, rifles, sniper rifles, pistol's,etc) oh and (grenades, etc) customization options and features you could create for the weapons and vehicles (etc) do anything and create anything.

I would like to see the zombie DLC, go from the beginning of infection through total world infection. . Give you the ability to survive and gather resources. . Have it take time to have complete world infection but you play the entire time.

I personally would love this, but I believe that Rockstar should go the way they did with RDR eventually. They should use the already built map as a base and alter it to look more apocalyptic. For example, maybe part of a highway bridge has collapsed and they could add maybe a crashed aeroplane somewhere in the mountain range. They should then add a survival aspect to it. As in finding guns, ammo and weapons. They could then add an online section to this so it ends up a bit like 'Day Z'. I think it would be really cool driving along with your friends in a upgraded jeep along an abandoned highway. I do not believe that the Xbox could handle this and thus it should be classed as a separate game at the price of maybe £10. Gta V has so much potential.

I think everyone would love a GTA 5 zombie mode dlc, like Red Dead Redempion's "Undead Nightmare". An Undead Nightmare set about 100 years after Red Dead with all the high-tech guns and cars and airplanes wound be simply amazing! I don't know about anyone else, but I'd be willing to pay another $60 for a GTA 5 Zombie DLC.

I for one love the idea of zombies in the GTA 5. The only issue I have with it is how limited a story could be. I got bored quite quickly in Undead Nightmare, even though I'm a zombie enthusiast. I'd love for them to make it anyway, and I know I'd be first in line to pick it up :P I read somewhere somebody said it would be better if it didn't look over-the-top apocalyptic, but I think the more apocalyptic, the better. Who know, all we can do is continue to raise this idea and force Rockstar's hand! :P

Think about it, with free-roam zombies, that kinda ruins future GTA V Online DLC's. Normal servers will be lacking as everybody will be playing zombie mode. It's highly overused, and very unlikely to happen.
