1. Restart Grand Theft Auto V

2. Wait for the black screen to load

3. Open the Rockstar Games website on PC or mobile while the game is still on the black screen and sign in to the affected account

5. Select Crews under the avatar menu

6. Change your Crew or join a new Crew

   • This should send you to the character selection

7. Delete the new / second character that is causing the issue

   • From there, you can continue to play with your primary character or create a new character in the open slot
