Managing and Reporting Abusive Players on Xbox

Question: What should I do if another Grand Theft Auto Online player is abusive, including harassing or bullying me?

Answer: Unwanted player interactions can be dealt with by blocking the offending user using platform tools. Below are some steps you can take to block interactions as well as report behavior that you feel rises to the level of abuse. If at any time you feel there is a threat to your personal safety, please contact your local police department.

Block the offending player

Use the block and mute features on your platform to prevent the player from communicating with you. Steps for how to do so can be found below:

Report the offending player Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S

  1. Access the in-game Pause menu (Menu button)

  2. Go to the Online tab

  3. Scroll and select Players

  4. Scroll and select the player you are reporting

  5. Scroll and select Report

  6. Select what you are reporting this player for:

    • If prompted, select the category of abuse and/or where you experienced it

  7. Submit your report
