Not receiving ordered License Plates in Grand Theft Auto Online

Question: Why am I not receiving the license plate I ordered in GTA Online?

Answer: First, make sure you are following the steps below when creating your custom license plate:

  1. Open GTA Online and make sure you are logged in to the Rockstar Games account associated with the plate order

  2. You will receive a text message in-game telling you that the order is ready to be picked up at Los Santos Customs

  3. Drive the vehicle associated with the plate order into an auto shop like Los Santos Customs

  4. Select Process Order in the Shop’s menu and the custom plate will be applied to your vehicle

If you do not see the “Process Order” option, check to see if the plate has already been added to your character using the following steps:

  1. Select Plates

  2. Look for your custom plate

If you do not see the plate in the list and there is an order in progress indicated in the License Plate Creator web tool, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Reconnect to GTA Online

  • Restart the device you are using to play GTA Online

  • Try logging back into GTA Online later

If you still cannot pick up your order:

  1. Open the web tool and cancel your in-progress order

  2. Confirm you wish to cancel the active order

  3. Ensure you are in an active GTA Online session

  4. Create a new plate order and wait for a notification in-game

Note: Accounts which have violated the Rockstar Games Terms of Service (TOS), including attempts to use online systems to duplicate vehicles or unfairly take advantage of game systems, will not be able to receive custom license plates.
