Explanation of keyboard keys for lesser known in-game button icons

Question: I can't figure out some of the button icons in L.A. Noire -- help!  It tells me to press things and nothing on the keyboard seems to correspond to the command.

Answer: Here are explanations for several default buttons::

• Single arrow pointing left: Backspace

• Single arrow pointing left with small vertical tail: Enter/Return

• Arrow pointing left with arrow pointing right immediately below: Tab

• Wide, flat "U"-shaped symbol: Space bar
