Last Updated: May 7, 2025

How to pause the game and access other options

You can access the pause screen by pressing either the Clock or the Radar located in the top corners of the screen. From here you can access several options:

  • RETURN TO GAME: Returns you back to the game from the Pause menu

  • MAP: The map shows all areas of the game including mission start points, class locations, stores, bus stops, and save locations. After completing a couple of Geography classes, the locations of some hidden collectibles will also appear on the map

  • STATUS: The Status section of the Pause menu tracks your progress through the game. It shows your game completion percentage, a list of completed and remaining objectives, your class report card, and respect level amongst the various school groups

  • INVENTORY: See items you have obtained during the game such as weapons, gifts, objects, and collectibles

  • STATS: In the Stats menu, you can see everything you have done in the game. These stats are grouped into five categories: General, Fight, Social, Activity, and Games

  • UPGRADES: The Upgrades menu allows you to see what you have unlocked from completing fighting tasks and classes

  • GAME: The Game menu allows you to select a new game, load a game or delete a game save

Signing in and saving to the designated Cloud Save slot will allow you to transfer and pick up saves between devices.

If you have purchased Bully: Anniversary Edition on both iOS and Android, Cloud Saves are supported cross-platform.

  • SETTINGS: From the settings menu, you have a variety of options to tailor your gameplay experience:

    • DISPLAY:

      • Brightness: Raise or lower the brightness of the game

      • Subtitles: Add subtitles to the bottom of the screen for all relevant dialogue

      • Language: Change the language to English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Russian

      • Clarity & Shadows: These settings will default to the pre-set ideal settings for the device. Increasing the clarity will improve the overall visuals of the game. Turning on shadows will add shadows to characters, adjusting the level of shadows will alter their visibility. Please note, changing either of these options could plausibly affect the performance of the game. If these settings are adjusted, pressing ‘Reset’ will restore the device to its suggested settings. The shadow option is only present on devices that support this feature

    • AUDIO: Change the effects, music or speech volume from here

    • CONTROLS:

      • Invert Look: Invert the Y and/or X-Axis

      • Sensitivity: Adjust the movement speed of the camera. Increasing the sensitivity will result in the camera moving faster

      • Haptic Feedback: Both Android and some iOS devices support haptic feedback. The level of vibration can be adjusted or turned off with this option

      • Left-Handed controls: Controls and some HUD elements are flipped for a control scheme designed to be better suited for left-handed players

      • Vehicle steering: Bully supports Analog, Digital, and Flick controls for skateboards and bicycles

      • Touch Auto Climb: This will remove the jump button from appearing on the screen and activates contextual jumping. This feature will let Jimmy automatically jump over obstacles

    • CUSTOMIZE: The position and size of some of the onscreen buttons can be adjusted in this section of the Settings menu. Changes can be undone by pressing ‘Reset’

How to use manual aim

Double tapping the left side of the screen when a projectile is equipped will bring up the manual aim view, shifting the camera over Jimmy’s shoulder. While in this view, you can move the target around the screen and press the crosshairs icon to throw. Double tapping the left side of the screen again will return the view to normal.

How to access and cycle through the weapon wheel

Pressing and holding the full colored game icon will bring up Jimmy’s weapon wheel, displaying what he has unlocked and acquired so far. Move your finger along the wheel and let go to equip a certain weapon. Or you can tap the icon quickly to cycle through to the next weapon item available without having to bring up the weapon wheel.

Quick skateboard access

Once Jimmy has acquired a skateboard, he can access it via the weapon wheel. For instant access to the skateboard, quickly swipe up while Jimmy is running and he will take his skateboard right out.
