How to upgrade my copy of Red Dead Redemption from Nintendo Switch to Nintendo Switch 2

Question: I have a copy of Red Dead Redemption on my Switch and would like to upgrade to the Switch 2 version. How do I do this?

Answer: Owners of the original Nintendo Switch version of Red Dead Redemption can upgrade to the Switch 2 by doing the following:

1. Insert your physical Red Dead Redemption game cartridge or install your digital version of Red Dead Redemption

2. Ensure that you have the latest version of Red Dead Redemption installed

3. Open Red Dead Redemption

4. Press A, then select Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

   • The Red Dead Redemption page on the Nintendo eShop will now open

5. Select Download to download the Red Dead Redemption Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for free
