Four Horses of the Apocalypse challenge in Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare

Question: Where can I find the Four Horses of the Apocalypse? What happens if one of these horses dies? How do I get the deeds to these horses?

Answer: The horses can be found in random locations throughout the world. They will not spawn near roads, however, so try exploring off the beaten path. You will know that you are close when a message appears telling you that a mythical creature is nearby. After receiving this message, pause the game and look on the world map for the shaded circle, which indicates the location of the horse.

• Pestilence normally spawns anywhere in the North

• War normally spawns anywhere in the Frontier

• Famine normally spawns anywhere in Nuevo Paraiso

• Death is awarded after the final mission of the main story

If one of the Four Horses of the Apocalypse dies or is replaced, you will only be able to access it again after completing all the Four Horses of the Apocalypse challenges. At that point, you will receive the deeds for all four horses.

If you have not completed all of the Four Horses of the Apocalypse challenges and you complete the story, you will be granted the deed to Death automatically and then can still earn the remaining deeds by finishing the challenges.
