Problem inviting friends for a cruise on PS3 version of MCLA

Question: I would like to invite a certain player to a cruise in Midnight Club: Los Angeles, but he or she does not appear on my list of friends through the in-game menu.  I checked in the PS3 XMB and the person is definitely on my friends list.  How can I complete the invitation?

Answer: This issue may occur if you have more than 50 friends on PSN.  Please delete any unnecessary friends.  When you have less than 50, you can be sure that the name you are looking for will show up in-game.
