Problems running Max Payne 3 when running Steam version while another Max Payne 3 version is installed

Question: I installed the Steam version of Max Payne 3 and I also have the disc (or non-steam digital) version of Max Payne 3 installed on the same computer.  Now the game won't run.  Am I not supposed to have two different versions of the game installed at the same time?

Answer: We recommend only having one version of Max Payne 3 installed on your PC at the same time.  If you have the Steam version plus another version installed on the same computer, please uninstall both versions and re-install just one.
