Incorrect verification code Error #0.200.4 on Rockstar Games sign in

Last Updated: June 23, 2026

Question: Why did I get the following error when trying to sign in to Rockstar Games after entering the 2-Step Verification code from my authenticator?

  • "Incorrect verification code submitted. Please re-enter the correct code from your authenticator app into the Verification code field. #0.200.4"

Answer: This error can occur if the code entered was incorrect or expired, or if the authenticator device has changed.

To troubleshoot, please try the following steps in order:

Try to enter the code again

Make sure the 2-Step Verification code has not expired and is entered exactly as you see it in your authenticator.

Check to make sure that your authenticator is synchronized with the 2-Step Verification service

If you are receiving an error that your 2-Step Verification failed, there is a chance that the authenticator you are using has become desynchronized with the 2-Step Verification service.

  • Ensure that the clock on your authenticator app / machine is set to the correct local time, date, and time zone

  • Enable any time sync settings on your authenticator app / program

On Android using Google Authenticator:

  1. Go to the main menu on the Google Authenticator app

  2. Select Settings

  3. Select Time Correction for Codes

  4. Select Sync Now

  5. On the next screen, the app will confirm that the time has been synced, and you should now be able to use your verification codes to sign in

Note: The sync will only affect the internal time of your Google Authenticator app and will not change your device’s Date & Time settings.

On iOS:

  1. Open the Settings app of your iPhone home screen

  2. Select General

  3. Select Date & Time

  4. Disable Set Automatically option and re-enable again

  5. Reboot your device

Authenticator sync settings:

If your authenticator has an option to sync the clock, make sure it is enabled. Check the support documentation for your chosen authenticator app for additional information.

Android / Windows phones:

These devices have an option in their settings to allow them to correct for time errors. Check the support documentation for your chosen authenticator app for additional information.

iOS devices / phones:

Ensure that these devices have the Set Automatically option turned on under the Date & Time setting to make sure that the clock is properly synced.
