Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy – The Definitive Edition on Netflix Games FAQ

Important: After December 13, 2024, Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will be removed from the Netflix store and will no longer be available to play via Netflix Games.
What do I need to play any of the GTA games on Netflix?
To play you’ll need:
A compatible device:
Android phone or tablet running Android 8.0 or later
iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch running iOS/iPadOS 15 or later
An active Netflix subscription
You will not be able to access the game if your Netflix subscription expires after the fact
The Netflix app
An internet connection to download and install the game
Enough storage space on your device
How do I access the games through the Netflix app?
The Netflix app includes a Mobile Games row on the home screen and a Games tab at the bottom.
To install on Android phones and tablets:
From the home screen in the app, swipe up to find the Mobile Games row or tap the Games tab
If you don’t see the Mobile Games row or Games tab, update your Netflix app to the latest version
Select your chosen game, then select Get Game. The Play Store will open.
Select Install
Depending on the game and your device settings, a permissions screen may appear — choose Accept
Once the game installs, select Open
After a game is installed, you can open it from the Mobile Games row or Games tab in the Netflix app. You can also select its icon on your device’s home screen or in the App Drawer
To install on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch:
From the home screen in the app, swipe up to find the Mobile Games row or tap the Games tab
If you don’t see the Mobile Games row or Games tab, update your Netflix app to the latest version
Select your chosen game, then select Get Game or Play Game
Select Get or the cloud icon on the App Store banner
Once the game installs, select Open
After a game is installed, you can open it from the Mobile Games row or Games tab, or by tapping its icon on the device’s home screen

To access from the App store
Open the App Store and search for the game by name or see all available Netflix games
Select your chosen game; then select Get or the cloud icon
Once the game installs, select Open
After a game is installed, you can open it from the Mobile Games row or Games tab in the Netflix app or by tapping its icon on your device’s home screen
If prompted, tap Next and then enter your Netflix account email address and password
Select your profile
To access from the Play Store
Open the Play Store and search for the game by name or see all available Netflix games
Select the game; then select Install

Is this a bundle, do you get all three titles?
No. Players can download, play, and access all three Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy – The Definitive Edition games individually.

Can I play GTA: Trilogy – The Definitive Edition using a Netflix Kids profile?
No. Games are not shown in profiles with the Netflix Kids experience.

Is there any cross-platform play?
No. Progress in the Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy – The Definitive Edition on Netflix Games is not shared with other platforms.
Can I access my Netflix Games save using a different mobile device?
Yes. Game progress is saved to the Netflix Games profile you choose to play on, so your progress can be accessed from different devices by logging into the same Netflix Games profile.
If I previously acquired the Netflix versions of the games from App Store or Google Play, can I still play them on my Netflix account?
Yes. If you have the game downloaded on a device with the Netflix app, you can access it from the Mobile Games row or Games tab in the app. If you’re signed into your Netflix profile, your progress will be saved to that profile.
Note: After December 13, 2024, game progress for Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will no longer be saved to your Netflix profile.
