Low frame rate / stuttering issues in downloadable versions of Vice City / Liberty City Stories for PSP

Question: I am experiencing a low frame rate in the downloadable GTA games for the PSP.  What can I do? 

Answer: Streaming performance may vary depending on the model of your PSP, the PSP firmware, the quality of the memory stick and whether the game is run from a UMD or an installation/digital download. For the best performance on your PSP, please make sure you have installed the latest firmware and that you are not using a third-party or badly-fragged memory stick.
