Enable the Constrain Mouse Pointer setting in RDR2

  • Navigate to Settings

  • Graphics Settings

  • Enable Constrain Mouse Pointer

  • Exit Settings

  • Restart the Game

Enable mouse trails in Windows

  • Close Red Dead Redemption 2

  • Open Windows Settings (Windows Key + I)

  • Select Devices

  • Select Mouse

  • Select Additional Mouse Options

  • Under the Pointer Options Tab select Display Pointer Trails

  • Click Apply

  • Restart Red Dead Redemption 2

Verify your game files

On the Rockstar Games Launcher

  • Select Settings

  • Select Red Dead Redemption 2 under My installed games

  • Select Verify Integrity under Verify game file integrity

  • When the integrity check completes, start the game

On the Epic Launcher

  • Navigate to the game in your Library

  • Click the cog icon

  • Click Verify in the drop-down navigation

  • Click Launch after the verification complete
