Changes to the email address linked to your Rockstar Games account

Question: How do I change the email address linked to my Rockstar Games account if the account details have been changed or I no longer have access to the email account?
Answer: Depending on whether your Rockstar Games account or email account details have changed, you can update the linked address in one of the following ways:
Use the account recovery link
If you are unable to sign in to your Rockstar Games account using the email address you normally use or believe your linked email address has been changed, you can restore the link if you still have access to that email account.
Whenever the linked email address is changed, an email containing an account-specific recovery link is sent to the previous email address. Clicking that link will roll back the account change.
Check your inbox and any routing or spam folders for an account change email from ‘noreply@rockstargames.com’ with the subject ‘Rockstar Games Email Changed’ and click on the recovery link to revert the email change.
Contact your email provider’s support team
If you no longer have access to or control over the email address linked to your Rockstar Games account, please contact your email provider's support team for assistance with recovery of your email account.
Example: If you have a Gmail account connected to your Rockstar Games account and the Gmail account is compromised, you should reach out to Google Support at https://support.google.com
Revert to a previously linked email address
If none of the steps above resolve the issue, Rockstar Support may be able to revert the Rockstar Games account to an email address that was previously linked to the Rockstar Games account if you submit a support request using the previously linked email address.
Note: If there was no previous email address linked to the Rockstar Games account, or the request is submitted from an email address that was never linked to the Rockstar Games account, we cannot make changes to account details for security reasons.

Important: Because access to your work or school email address can be lost without the ability to recover, we recommend not using a work or school email address for your Rockstar Games account. Email addresses ending in .edu can no longer be used when creating Rockstar Games accounts.
