How to delete characters in Grand Theft Auto Online

Question: How do I delete my GTA Online character?

Answer: You can have two characters in GTA Online and can delete either one of them by doing the following:

PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC – Enhanced

1. Open the Pause Menu

2. Highlight Online

3. Highlight Manage Characters

4. Select Manage Characters

5. Select the character you want to delete

6. Press your respective Delete button

   • Look at the bottom of your screen to see what the Delete button is for your respective platform

7. Confirm you want to delete the character

8. Type and enter in the following to permanently delete the character:

   • delete

PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC – Legacy

1. Open the Pause Menu

2. Highlight Online

3. Highlight Swap Characters

4. Select Swap Characters

5. Select the character you want to delete

6. Press your respective Delete button

   1. Look at the bottom of your screen to see what the Delete button is for your respective platform

7. Confirm you want to delete the character

8. Type and enter in the following to permanently delete the character:
