Rockstar Games errors when retrieving or changing your password

Question: I registered for a Rockstar Games account through Red Dead Redemption. When I go to the website and try to recover or change my password, I get the following error message:

  • Your account could not be updated. Please check your inputs and try again.

How can I fix this?

Answer: If you registered for a Rockstar Games account through Red Dead Redemption, this error message may appear on the Rockstar Games site if you haven't set your account language.

To fix this issue:

  1. Visit https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/

  2. Click on Profile in the upper-right

  3. Clock on Other Details on the left sidebar

  4. Select your Language
