Saving replays in GTA III

Last Updated: June 12, 2023

Question: How do I save a replay in the game?

Answer: Within GTA3 the user has the option to Save Replays. This is a feature that enables you to save part of the gameplay, so you can watch it at a later time.

The options to Save a Replay are as follows:-

While playing a game, press the following key commands to save a replay of the action:

F1 - this Replays the last 30 seconds of the game. Moving the mouse will rotate the camera around the vehicle.

F2 - this Saves the last 30 seconds as a file. The file is named REPLAY.REP located in your 'My Documents'->'GTA3 User Files' folder.

This option creates only one saved slot, so the replay must be copied out of the folder in order to save a new replay without overwriting the current one.

F3 - Recall saved replay. This will play the current saved REPLAY.REP file which you created from using the F2 key.
