Answer: In the event of a crash, if you are using RivaTurner, closing your RivaTurner overlay can resolve the most common issues. 

Verifying game file integrity can resolve several types of issues while also ensuring that the game and supporting files are up to date. You can verify the files in the Rockstar Games Launcher using the following steps:

  1. Sign in to the Rockstar Games Launcher

  2. Navigate to Settings

  3. Select the game you wish to verify from the list under My installed games on the left

  4. Select Verify Integrity under Verify game file integrity from the options on the right

Upon completion, a pop-up message will appear above the system tray stating that your game is verified and ready to play.
