Playing the first few hours of Max Payne 3 and not getting trophies/achievements

Question: I bought Max Payne 3 and have played for a few hours already but no trophies have unlocked. Where are all the trophies in this game?
Answer: We have received a few questions from players who were surprised that they hadn't seen any trophies pop up over the first few hours of Single Player play. Please note that Max Payne 3 trophies must be earned and should show up as you complete objectives; you won't get a trophy simply for entering Single Player or firing your first bullet. Also, many of the Single Player trophies/achievements can only be achieved in Free Aim, so we recommend double-checking the description if you are wondering about specific requirements for a particular trophy.
