Stability
- Fixed a crash that could occur when launching the game on certain hardware configurations 
- Fixed a crash that could occur when switching between output devices on system configurations with multiple graphics cards 
- Fixed an issue that prevented the game from launching on some system configurations that used a dedicated AMD graphics card alongside an unsupported Intel integrated graphics device 
- Fixed an issue that prevented the game from launching on some low-end system configurations when using DirectX 12 
- Fixed an issue with a memory leak when using DirectX 12, leading to increased RAM usage and potential crashes during extended game sessions 
- Fixed several random crashes that occurred during gameplay in Story Mode and Red Dead Online 
Improvements and Bug Fixes
- Added command line arguments allowing the player to limit processor threads/affinity when booting the game. Using both arguments in combination may increase performance and reduce stalls on some systems when third-party applications with significant CPU usage are running in the background - -numCores=# (number of threads, decimal value) 
- -setSystemProcessorAffinity=# (CPU affinity mask, decimal value) 
 
- Fixed an issue with hardware detection that caused the ‘hardware/driver check’ startup message to display incorrectly when running on some systems 
- Fixed an issue with missing smoke effects on trains when the Particle Quality graphical setting was set to Ultra/High

- Improved texture rendering at the Medium and High quality settings, so the game will now show a higher level of texture detail without impacting framerate or requiring more system resources 
- Increased the maximum range of the TAA Sharpening graphics setting, allowing players to make the game appear less blurry and match the quality available with external driver solutions 
- Fixed an issue that caused some system configurations to misreport the amount of free video memory available for the game to use 
- Fixed caching issues that caused graphical issues and missing UI that occurred after upgrading a system’s graphics card 
- Fixed a rendering issue with shimmering/flickering textures near campfires when Parallax Occlusion Mapping was set to Ultra quality 
- Fixed a lighting issue that caused blocky shadow textures around the player that could occur on some systems while Parallax Occlusion Mapping was set to Ultra quality 
- Fixed an issue that prevented cloud transition screens from displaying on death/respawn when the system is low on video memory 
- Fixed an issue with occlusion checks that could occur when running with DirectX 12, which prevented progress on some Story Mode missions 
- Fixed a lighting issue that caused graphical artifacts to appear around distant trees on some system configurations while MSAA was active

- Improvements to issues seen when pitching camps through the Player menu, resulting in a flashing prompts and an incorrect “Cripps has packed up your camp” alert 
- Fixed several networking issues that should reduce the chance of player camps being packed up during dynamic session switching in Red Dead Online 
- Improvements to an issue that caused pitched camps in Red Dead Online to not spawn correctly when approaching the marked blip on the Radar / Map 
- Fixed issues with player horses and riders being kicked off while in Posses 
- Fixed an issue that caused player horses to be frozen in place and unable to move when other players are nearby in a Red Dead Online session 
- Fixed several issues with some player horse visual attributes such as cleanliness not being correct after dismissing and re-summoning in a Red Dead Online session
