Players should be aware that hackers use many different means to obtain account information, including:

Social engineering: by contacting support and impersonating you (which is why we often ask you to verify your identity by emailing us from the registered account)
Phishing: by sending emails that are masquerading as Rockstar official emails
- Double-check any emails that are asking for your password and/or your login information
- Check the email domain and the links before opening the email, downloading any attachments, and/or providing more information
- Rockstar emails should only come from the domains listed on the Keep Your Account Safe page: https://www.rockstargames.com/community-resources/keep-account-safe
Scam third-party services: by offering a service and asking for your account information. Do not share your passwords with others, regardless of whether or not you know the person, as access grants the potential for changes that could lock you out

Add 2-Step Verification to your account
