Lack of in-game map in GTA III

Question: I downloaded GTA III and I can't figure out how to access the in-game map!  Did GTA III have a map?

Answer: We are sorry but GTA III did not feature an in-game map at the time of release, and the PC/Mac versions of the game also do not have an in-game map.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and recommend printing out a GTA III map online.
