Crashing on Xbox 360 after re-downloading Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare and then launching it from the Main Menu

Last Updated: January 31, 2024

Question: How can I stop my re-downloaded Undead Nightmare DLC from crashing when I try to launch it from the Xbox 360 Main Menu?

Answer: Due to a change in the name of the Undead Nightmare DLC file, it is possible for two separate versions of Undead Nightmare to simultaneously exist on your hard drive when the DLC is re-downloaded:

  • Undead Nightmare Pack v25

  • Undead Nightmare Pack

Check your RDR save folder and delete any Undead Nightmare DLC data. Be sure not to delete any game save files, as this would result in irreversible loss of progress.

Then re-download Undead Nightmare from the Xbox Games Store. You will not be charged again and it will be assured that the latest version is the only version on your hard drive.
