Question: My machine is having some issues with the frame rate limiter. What can I do?
Answer: By default, many of today's video cards are set to the highest acceleration setting. This can sometimes cause problems when attempting to run some programs. These problems can range from reduced performance to and inability to run programs. To lower the acceleration rate on your video card, simply follow the steps below. You may wish to try multiple settings, to determine which one performs best for you.
1. Click on the Start button on the Taskbar. 2. Move your cursor up to the Settings listing and click on Control Panel in the window that appears. 3. From the Control Panel, select the System icon. 4. Click on the Performance tab in the System Properties window. 5. Click on the Graphics button under Advanced Settings. 6. Adjust the Hardware Acceleration level on the level bar to a lower level and click OK. 7. Restart your system.
If problem continues then try downloading and installing the latest drivers for your video card. These can be downloaded from the video card manufacturers website.
