Question: When I try to run the Max Payne 3, it prompts me to install a Windows Service pack.  I know I already have this pack, so how can I play the game?

Answer: This issue may relate to Administrator privileges when booting the game.  To fix it, right click the Max Payne 3 game from within the Steam folder and choose Run as Admin.  If possible, be sure that you are logged in with Admin rights on your computer.

If the issue still occurs, the .exe may be set to run in a compatibility mode that does not match your version of Windows.  To fix this:

1. Right-click the game icon and click Properties

2. Go to the Compatibility tab

3. Set the game to Compatibility Mode for your OS or try turning it off.  For example, if you are using Windows 7, set the compatibility to Windows 7.
