Question: What carrier does Rockstar use for orders outside of North America and the EU?  Will I have to pay additional duties and taxes myself upon delivery or is this payment already calculated into the shipping total and collected up-front?

Answer: In appreciation of our worldwide fans, we at Rockstar Games are committed to providing the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods possible.  We have introduced a new international shipping type (DHL) which is cheaper than UPS Worldwide Express while still providing reliable tracking information.  Although we could charge lower rates comparable with the old standard shipping option, this new system improves service by providing accurate tracking and collecting all necessary costs at the time of purchase.

Please note that our DHL shipments to customers outside the US/EUare "DDP" (Delivered Duty Paid) which means that we collect up-front all of the costs related to transporting the goods, including the duties/taxes/tariffs and international customs clearance fees.  This system helps to avoid any unwanted surprises where customers would be expected to pay at the time of delivery.  The extra fees are not convenience or service charges -- rather, the payment is passed on directly to carriers and customs clearance houses in the destination countries.

As always, we welcome any feedback you may have about our shipping policies and we will continue working to provide competitive rates to the international community.
