Question: People are glitching to get under buildings in Escalera and other places. They can see out and shoot me but I can't see them. Will you ban these people? What can I do?
Answer: We are in the process of patching the glitch to get under the Escalera mansion and several other places, including a building in Thieves Landing.
If you know of any buildings players can glitch to get underneath as an exploit, now is the time to let us know! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know all of the details.
I dont understand why you would try and get help from rock star entertainment,
they are like sony/criterion/EA/dice, only MONEY talk's with companys like these once you have bought there product the customers service becomes void!,
I said on a blogg I did a while back the reason companys bring out a new game is so to distract you from the game that is now full of hackers and cheats,
hoping that you will follow like lost sheep and keep buying games that they have no intention of making better,
theres one way of how you kind find out if a company is owned by some one else trying getting hold of a real person if you are unable to talk to real people on a phone then you are guaranteed there owned by EA electronic art's, all there sister companys they own do not permit you to talk to a human being for what reason is stupid as this provides customer relations,
in 2 weeks I have already told sony I will not being buying any more products because of the hackers on-line, so heres a question you all need to put forward to rock star and lets see how many of you actual have the pedigree to stand up and say enough is enough, heres the question in caps so you can read it,
(SEING AS YOU LOVE HACKERS AND CHEATS MORE THEN ME AS A CUSTOMER GET THEM TO PICK UP THE SLACK WHEN I STOP BUYING YOUR PRODUCTS £ AND YOU LOSE REVENUE BECAUSE HACKERS AND CHEATS GET MORE RESPECT THEN DECENT PLAYER'S,, WILL YOU STILL LOVE THEM WHEN YOU LOSE MY MONEY) SAY GOOD BYE TO LOST REVENUE!
@Lollipop82809 - Unfortunately, R* doesn't really seem to care about Red Dead anymore and is primarily focused on Max Payne 3 to the avoidance of every other game in their stable.
They've even set up a "cheater pool" for Max Payne 3 that will shunt cheaters onto the same server to cheat on each other (which is effin' brilliant!).
Red Dead needed that 2 years ago, but it will more than likely never be implemented.
So the cheaters will become more brazen as R* continue to look the other way. The RDS, M7 and 187 clans cheat openly without a care in the world...
There's even a rumor going around that R* is deliberately letting Red Dead go to sh!t in hopes we'll give up on it and move on to Max Payne 3 Multiplayer. And, considering that they've spent a lot of money on Max Payne 3 and not many care to play it, I can see why they might employ that tactic.
I really hope this isn't the case, tho'. Because if it is, it shows that R* doesn't realize that Red Dead is special, is unlike any other Multiplayer experience out there and will not be easily replaced - even with another R* title.
So, in that light, the invincibility glitch and the rapid fire glitch are both back, tho the avenue one takes to get them to work has changed somewhat. And no matter how much you report the people using these cheats, I don't think R* will actually do anything about it.
What a shame that they've essentially put Red Dead out to pasture... :/
This was posted over a year ago yet lately iv noticed more people using the invincibility glitch then ever. Any updates on the issue?
@randys55chevy - That's not an aimbot, it is a glitch that can be employed by getting outside of the map.
The way to do it is very specific and rather difficult, but after pulling it off, your character can run around the map proper as an invisible character (there's even a variation where you can make your horse invisible, too).
The person who is shooting you is actually standing right next to you, invisible, it's just that their body is up in the mountains outside the map, that's why the ground looks funny in the kill cam and how they've shot you from some impossible distance.
I'm not going to tell you how to do it because I don't need that kind of headache or guilt, but suffice to say that if you ever find someone that'll show you, and you manage to pull it off - try and convince me that it is not a glitch intentionally set up by the developers.
For the record, I've only ever done this glitch in a private free roam just to see how it functioned.
The people who use it in live sessions are fackin' douchebags.
im tired of these guys using a aim mod getting headshots from half away across the map knowing even the sniper has hard time hitting from long distance .i know its a mod because its shows them after the kill the ground around them is blurring
Dynamite can work sometimes.(depending where people do it)
Can you be banned from playing multiplayer for using these mistakes that R* has in the game? I know you can for modding and hacking but not sure about mistakes that R* has made.
The invincibility exploit will be patched soon as well. If you know of any other exploits and would like to check on their statuses, please Submit a Request and describe the exploit in as much detail as possible.
Yes, the invincibility glitch is getting ridiculous. Many of my friends have quit RDR altogether, and I'm not far away from quitting myself. Good game, but you guys cant even keep up, or don't care enough to get this fixed. What's the deal?
Yes, there is a way to get inside the Posado building in Chuparosa.
It involves smashing a window with a fire bottle and jumping through while it's burning.
I can't get it to work, but I've definitely seen people under that building. Getting them out is nearly impossible since even Dynamite can't penetrate to the center of the building.
